About Lax in the 305

We are a Women’s Lacrosse Media and Lifestyle Brand. Our Mission is to promote women's lacrosse through fun, exciting and educational content with a goal of inspiring both those who are currently a part of the lacrosse community, or those that may be in the future.

Upon moving to Miami in 2018, I started the @laxinthe305 Instagram account as a fun side-gig to help promote the game when I noticed this is a very underdeveloped area for lacrosse. The account ended up taking off all over the country, and even the world! I quickly realized just how much this type of platform was needed and how extremely under-represented the women’s game is online and on social media.

Partners:

After picking up traction with such positive feedback, I decided to turn it into a company. Lax in the 305 now operates as a Women's Lacrosse Media & Lifestyle Company and partners with many companies who support the game in their own ways as well.

We work with companies like Gait, ECD, True, Signature, Lax Worx, Smart Backstop, Treadbands, Swax Lax, and many more. We love integrating and showing casing products and services around the game that we truly believe in, all while organically and authentically, integrating them into our everyday content.

About the owner

Hi everyone! My name is Jenna Martino-DiFede (the one on the right!)

I am a current women’s lacrosse coach (Miami Palmetto HS, 3x Miami-Dade Coach of the Year), former collegiate coach (FDU Madison & Univ. of NH), former Division I player (St. Joe’s, ’10), as well as a marketing professional, business owner (Lax in the 305), club director (Miami Sol), lacrosse advocate, sports fan, and so much more. I grew up in NJ playing sports like basketball, soccer, and softball. It wasn’t until the summer going into freshman year of high school that I picked up a stick. It was incredibly frustrating since it was so new and for me and harder to learn than I would have liked (we’ve all been there!)

But after sticking with it, I fell in love with the game. I was lucky enough to have some great coaches along the way, excelled quickly and went on to play at the Division I level at St. Joseph’s University where I was able to accomplish more than I ever could have dreamed - making history with our team, breaking team and individual school records, and much more. The point being… don’t ever let anyone tell you, it’s too late to start, or that you have to “specialize” in a sport too early. We are HUGE advocates of the multi-sport athlete!

Since my playing days, I have worked in sales, management and marketing for both start-ups and Fortune-500 companies, coached at both the Division I and III levels, as well as all levels of youth through high school lacrosse. I love combining my experience into everything I am doing today to promote the game of lacrosse.

I believe that sports in general help shape us as the best humans we can be. They provide discipline, confidence, goal setting, conflict resolution, team building & relationships, time management, and so much more. All skills needed to excel in life and become your true & best self. Through the game of lacrosse, we can make the world a better place. Lax in the 305 is my way of spreading all of this positivity to as many people as we can. Follow along to join the ride!
